About South Florida Business Attorney
Why Choose South Florida Business Attorney for Your Needs
You didn’t start your business to become an expert in contracts.
You started it because you’re passionate about what you do — not because you wanted to spend hours reviewing legal documents, deciphering fine print, or worrying about whether you’re protected.
That’s where I come in.
I help Florida business owners understand their legal risks, negotiate smarter agreements, and protect the businesses they’ve worked hard to build — so they can stay focused on running and growing their companies.
The Problems I Help Solve
Most business owners come to me because they’re facing one of these situations:
- “I’m about to sign a contract and I’m not sure what I’m agreeing to.”
- “I’m buying or selling a business and want to avoid costly mistakes.”
- “I started my LLC, but I don’t know if my operating agreement actually protects me.”
- “My partner and I need to clearly define ownership and responsibilities before things get complicated.”
- “I want to make sure my contracts give me recourse if a client doesn’t pay.”
- “I’m growing, hiring, or expanding, and I want to do it the right way.”
- “I don’t have time to decipher legal language — I just want someone I trust to tell me what matters.”
What Makes Me Different
I think like a business owner, not just an attorney. Every recommendation I make is grounded in your business reality. My job isn’t to hand you a memo listing every possible risk — it’s to help you understand what actually matters, make informed decisions, and keep your transaction moving forward.
I focus on prevention. The best legal problem is the one that never happens. Thoughtfully drafted contracts, clear operating agreements, and well-structured transactions reduce disputes, protect relationships, and save significant time and money down the road.
My transactional work is informed by real litigation experience. Before focusing exclusively on business transactions, I spent over five years litigating civil, commercial, and class action cases. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when contracts are vague, deals are poorly structured, or business relationships lack clear written terms — and I’ve seen how expensive and disruptive those disputes become. That experience shapes how I draft and negotiate today. When I review or prepare a contract, I’m not just thinking about what the parties intend — I’m thinking about how it holds up when things don’t go as planned.
I speak your language — in more ways than one. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I hold dual law degrees: a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and a civil law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. For South Florida’s Hispanic business community, that combination means more than translation — it means I understand the legal frameworks many of my clients grew up with and can bridge that gap in a way that builds real trust.
I value relationships over individual transactions. My goal isn’t to complete one matter and move on. I aim to become a trusted legal resource as your business grows — someone you can call before you sign, not after something goes wrong.
A Note for Deal Professionals
If you’re a business broker, CPA, commercial lender, or commercial realtor, I understand that your clients’ deals have timelines, relationships on both sides, and commercial realities that legal counsel needs to respect.
I work from LOI through closing with one priority: protecting my client’s interests while keeping the deal on track. I don’t create unnecessary conflict or slow things down. If you’re looking for a transactional attorney you can confidently refer your clients to, I’d welcome the conversation.
